"An Eclipse within"
Sometimes life places us in circumstances where there is nowhere left to run…not from the situation, not from an illness, and ultimately, not from ourselves.
The Lunar Eclipse on Friday, 28th August, symbolically reminds us that what has been hidden can come into view. It can illuminate what is ready to be released and bring us face-to-face with what no longer resonates with the person we are becoming.
Things begin to change. What once distracted us no longer works, and familiar ways of coping begin to crumble. Sometimes we are gently nudged, and sometimes pushed into profound discomfort, forcing us to turn inward and look at the parts of ourselves we have avoided, denied, or simply never had the awareness to see. This is where the shadow work begins. And perhaps this is why periods of powerful lunar or solar energy can feel so intense.
As we look honestly within, we may discover how much of our lives has been shaped by programming, conditioning, expectations, survival patterns, and deeply embedded habits. Some we consciously chose. Others were created long before we were aware that we were creating them. Much of life can also be lived on autopilot, simply responding from old wounds and learned behaviours rather than from the truth of who we really are.
Awakening is not always the beautiful, blissful experience we imagine it to be.
Sometimes awakening means seeing the lies we have believed about ourselves, the masks we have worn and the identities we constructed to feel safe, accepted, or loved. It means recognising where fear has been making our decisions, where scarcity has been limiting our possibilities, and where the need to survive has “existence mode” and prevented us from truly living.
Looking within is not about superficial self-judgment. It is about deeply acknowledging our own shadows, negative patterns, and outdated programming.
Meditation trains us to connect with the spirit self that we are and to become the witness of all parts of ourselves.
Because we are not our past, nor are we our survival mechanisms. We are not the stories we inherited or the identities we created along the way. Beneath all of that is a more authentic self that has been there all along.
True freedom is not about changing who we are, but shedding everything that convinced us we were something less.
As we let go of what is fear-based, restrictive, and no longer aligned, we create space for greater awareness, love, truth, sovereignty, and connection. A new world cannot be created from the consciousness that created the old one. A New Light is birthing and the revolution of consciousness is within each of us.
