"July energies"

Time seems to be speeding up as are the changes. We are already half way through this year, July energy reminds us to slow down, return to centre, and restore balance in every area of our lives. Rather than rushing to fix, change, or control what is unfolding around us, simply accept with awareness and respond from a place of inner calm.

Are we aware of how much time we spend living inside our minds with our own thoughts? Worries,  problems, endless "what if” outcomes past or future and conversations with ourselves or those we have had with others? And complaints that we tell ourselves or repeat out aloud without even realizing it. Before long, our minds become so busy that we lose touch with the peace that already exists within us, the peace that we are connected to when we are living in the flow in the present. And then we get into the habit of reacting rather than responding.

When situations or conversations test your patience or trigger old emotional patterns, take a deep breath and pause for a few seconds, instead of reacting automatically.

A regular practice of meditation reminds us to take a conscious breath and ask yourself, "how would the higher version of myself show up at this moment?"  because response is more powerful than reaction. Non-reactivity is not about suppressing emotions, but about choosing peace and wisdom within any drama or chaos.

This month also reminds us to nurture your self, including your body, mind, and spirit. Every part of you deserves your loving attention. Rest when you need to. Spend time in nature. Meditate. Create. Nourish yourself with wholesome food, kind thoughts, and people who uplift your energy. Remember that self-care is not selfish, it is how we replenish our light so we can share it with others. The more you honour your own inner harmony, the more gracefully life will flow around you.

As we move through July, let us maintain balance, inner strength and self-love.
