At the core of every human being is a simple need, and that is, to feel loved and appreciated. So often as humans we are not admired or  praised for our achievements and subconsciously there is a longing to be seen, or valued or just accepted for who we are.

Love and gratitude are the highest emotional nourishment. When people feel genuinely appreciated, something softens inside them. Their nervous system relaxes. Immunity improves. The body becomes more open-hearted, more generous, more alive. It is as if the energy of appreciation tells the soul, “You matter. Your presence has value.”

So many inner wounds result from absence such as from words not spoken, gratitude not expressed, affection withheld. A kind acknowledgment, a sincere thank you, or a moment of attentive listening can heal more than we realize. These small gestures remind people that they are not invisible.

A regular meditation practice helps us slow down and become more aware of ourselves and others, making it easier to notice what truly matters and to express appreciation in simple, everyday ways.

When love is expressed freely, it creates safety. And in safety, people thrive. They grow, they give, and they remember who they truly are.

In a world rushing forward, let us pause more often to appreciate and let us love out loud. Because when people feel loved and appreciated, they don’t just survive, they truly blossom.
